Terms of Service
Last updated: 9/29/2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Supporterverse, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access our service.
2. Purpose of the Platform
Supportiverse enables creators to build and manage a visual, interactive digital world for their supporter community (a "creator world"). Supporter data may be connected from third-party services such as membership or subscription platforms, including Patreon, YouTube, Twitch, and Discord. You acknowledge that Supportiverse is a visual and community layer only and does not replace, manage or control your supporter relationships on any third-party platform.
Supporterverse also offers Discord Activity Worlds, a world type that uses a Discord Bot (authorised by the creator) to read live presence, role, voice, and message activity from the creator's Discord server, and visualise this as a real-time animated world. Discord Activity Worlds are entirely separate from Patreon/Twitch worlds and do not require supporters to have a Supporterverse account.
3. Creator Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for: your creator world; the structure and layout of your world and its individual areas and locations; all names, titles, labels and descriptions within your world; any images, artwork or other media you upload; and the overall presentation and operation of your world. You must ensure that your use of Supportiverse complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
4. Acceptable Use of Creator Worlds
You agree that you will not create, publish or display any content, designs, layouts, names, titles, images or other materials within your creator world that: promote or depict hatred, hostility or violence towards individuals or groups based on protected characteristics; promote, support or reference extremist ideologies, organisations or individuals; glorify or depict real-world mass violence, terrorist activity or hate-based movements; are designed to intimidate, harass, threaten or target individuals or communities; include symbols, imagery or references widely associated with hate movements or violent ideologies; are unlawful, misleading or deceptive; are sexually explicit in a manner not suitable for a general-audience platform; or promote criminal activity or dangerous conduct. This applies to all elements of your creator world, including area or location names, custom labels, titles and job titles, descriptions and metadata, and uploaded images and visual assets.
5. Images, Artwork and Intellectual Property
You confirm that you own, or have valid permission and rights to use, all images, artwork, branding and other media that you upload to Supportiverse. You must not upload any content that infringes third-party rights, including copyright, trade mark, privacy or publicity rights. You grant Supportiverse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and technically reproduce your content solely for the purpose of operating, improving and promoting the Supportiverse service.
6. Representation of Supporters
Supporters may appear within your creator world using names, images and other information provided through connected third-party platforms or through their own Supportiverse profiles. You must not deliberately manipulate, misrepresent or falsely attribute supporter identities within your creator world.
7. Supporter Profiles and Supporter-Controlled Settings
Supportiverse may allow individual supporters to manage limited elements of their own profile. You acknowledge and agree that supporters control their own profile information and visibility settings where such features are provided; you are not entitled to override or bypass supporter visibility or privacy controls; and you must not encourage or require supporters to disable privacy or visibility features as a condition of participation. Supportiverse is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or suitability of supporter-provided profile information.
8. Discord Activity Worlds
If you set up a Discord Activity World, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are the administrator or have appropriate authority over the Discord server you connect.
- The Discord Bot you authorise will read message content, presence status, voice channel state, and member role data from within your server, limited to channels you configure.
- You are responsible for ensuring your members are made reasonably aware that a community visualisation tool is active in your server.
- Message content is used transiently (for speech bubble display only) and is not stored by Supporterverse.
- You must not configure Discord Activity Worlds to monitor channels without appropriate justification, or in a way that would constitute covert surveillance of your community.
- If you remove the bot from your server or disconnect your Discord integration, live data collection will cease.
9. Third-Party Platform Connections
If you connect your creator world to third-party services (including Patreon, YouTube, Twitch, or Discord), you confirm that you are authorised to create and maintain those connections; and your use of those integrations complies with the terms and policies of those third-party services, including YouTube's Terms of Service, Discord's Developer Terms of Service, and Discord's Community Guidelines.
YouTube Integration: Creators who connect YouTube must ensure they have the right to access their members' data via the YouTube API. Supporters who link their YouTube accounts grant Supporterverse permission to read their YouTube channel membership level solely to verify eligibility to appear in creator worlds. YouTube data accessed via the API is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. You may revoke Supporterverse's access to your YouTube data at any time via your Google security settings. Supportiverse is not responsible for the availability, accuracy or operation of any third-party platform.
10. Prohibited Technical Use
You must not attempt to bypass or interfere with security or access controls; scrape, harvest or extract data beyond what is made available through normal platform functionality; use automated systems to simulate supporter activity, movement, presence or behaviour within a creator world; use a Discord Activity World to covertly monitor, record, or profile your server members beyond the intended visualisation purpose; or reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive source code or proprietary technology.
11. Moderation and Enforcement
Supportiverse reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to remove, modify or restrict any part of a creator world; limit features or visibility; and suspend or terminate a creator account. We may take such action where content or behaviour breaches these Terms, presents a risk to supporters or the platform, or exposes Supportiverse to legal, regulatory or reputational risk. Where reasonably necessary, action may be taken without prior notice.
12. Community and Supporter Environment
You agree to operate your creator world in a manner that promotes respectful participation and does not create an environment that is hostile, degrading or exclusionary towards any supporter or group. Supportiverse may use automated or manual review processes to help maintain platform standards.
13. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Supportiverse if you materially breach these Terms; repeatedly fail to comply with content or conduct requirements; or your continued access presents legal, regulatory, safety or operational concerns. Suspension or termination may result in the removal of your creator world and associated content.
14. Platform Availability
Supportiverse is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific features, or continued compatibility with any third-party services. We may update, modify or discontinue parts of the platform at any time.
15. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: you remain solely responsible for your creator world and all content you provide; Supportiverse is not responsible for disputes between you and your supporters, or between supporters; Supportiverse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Supportiverse, its operators and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, losses or expenses arising from your creator world, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your use of third-party services in connection with Supportiverse.
17. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Your continued use of Supportiverse after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, unless otherwise stated by Supportiverse.
19. Data Processing and GDPR
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar data protection laws, the Creator is the Data Controller of their supporters' data imported from third-party platforms (such as Patreon, Twitch, or Discord). Supportiverse acts solely as the Data Processor, processing this data on behalf of and under the instructions of the Creator to provide the visual world functionality. Creators are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate legal basis to share their supporters' data with Supportiverse.
For Discord Activity Worlds specifically: the Creator, by authorising the Discord Bot, takes on responsibility as the Data Controller for their server members' data accessed via the bot. Creators should consider informing their Discord community that a visualisation bot is active and what data it accesses. Supporterverse processes this data strictly for the purposes of powering the live world display.
20. Acknowledgment
By creating or managing a creator world on Supportiverse, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
